Gain unique insights into the industry and develop valuable connections that could lead to greater career opportunities? \n\n\n\nThe BISA Industry Mentor Program is back for our 10 year anniversary! We have teamed up with some of our amazing sponsors to provide you with incredible insight into the industry. \n\n\n \n\n\nThis is networking on a whole another level! Take away the small talk of networking nights\, and ask the real\, big questions – all the ins and outs of the industry and what they do! \n\n\n \n\n\nPLUS! Mentors in the past of certain companies have directly recommended their mentees with high potential to Human Resources for positive consideration into their Summer Intern or Graduate Programs.\n\n\n \n\n\nWHO? \n\n\nUniversity of Sydney students from all years\, studying one of the following degrees can apply: \n\n\n– Commerce/Economics\, with a major in BIS\, Accounting\, Finance\, Business Analytics or Econometrics\n– Information Technology/Advanced Computing\n– Software/Electrical Engineering\n– Science\, with a major in Computer Science\, Data Science\, Financial Mathematics and Statistics\n\n\n \n\n\nWHAT?\n\n\nMentees will be paired off with a mentor\, an industry professional\, with whom they’ll organise at least 3 meetings over the 10-week program between August and October. The meetings can be in the form of a catch up over coffee\, lunch or a shadowing opportunity to discuss your career goals and seek guidance from a mentor who has experience in the industry. \n\n\n \n\n\nBISA will try our best to match you with a mentor that has a background and/or interests in the business area(s) you are interested in.\n\n\n \n\n\nWHEN and WHERE?\n\n\n\n\n– Thursday 15th August evening for the Mentor Program Launch event at PwC.\n\n\n– Wednesday 23rd October for the Mentor Program Closing event at PwC.\n\n\n– You’ll organise at least 3 meetings that will suit both yourself and your mentor over the course of the program.\n\n\n– Successful applicants must also attend a compulsory workshop on Thursday 8th August evening.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nHOW? \n\n\nFor more eligibility requirements and to apply to be a mentee visit: https://www.bisa.org.au/apply-to-be-a-mentee/\n\n\n \n\n\nApplications close 11.59pm Sunday 30th June 2019.\n\n\n\n
